Slovak premiere of exhibition in cooperation with Prague House of Photography, CZ. The CzechMania Messages reflect the trends of young generation, which accepts today's fashion and design and at the same time transforms it in their own creative way. The main criteria for choosing the "models" is a strong personal inventive approach, witty appearance and creativity working against stereotype. House of Photography is the only Eastern European co-organizer of global photography project, organized and realized by Sunderland University in Great Britain. CHANGING FACES - international exchange photography project - includes 5 major organizers (Dom fotografie/ SK, Museum Folkwang and University of Essen / Germany, University of Jyvaskyla / Finland, Paradox and University of Leiden / Netherlands, Arts Council / Great Britain) and 12 partners in all continents. >> 19.8. - 17.11.2006 > ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY: Vincent DEBANNE (France in Slovakia)
Artist-in-residency program of the French artist as a part of the CHANGING FACES - Culture 2000 project. Under the commission brief of 'WORK', Vincent is developing "industrial fictions" - montages based upon a combination of working environments and workers - selected from northern Slovakian industries and amusement parks. The Changing Faces at Dom fotografie is supprted by Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic.
